# Workflow
Workflow is designed using the simple graphical drag-and-drop interface, which allows elements to be easily added, deleted and rearranged.
## What is a Workflow?
A workflow is a **series of activities** that must be carried out in a specific sequence to accomplish a set organizational objective.
## Designing a simple workflow
1. Drag and drop the **Start event** 
from the palette.
2. Under the **General Tab** in the column to the right of workflow, change the name in the **Step Name** field. Enter the name as *Leave Requested.*
3. Drag and drop the **Create Task** 
icon. Name it *Check Leave Balance*. Click on the create task icon and click wrench 
and chose **User Task**
4. Add an **End Event** 
.Name it *Leave Approved.*
5. Click on the Start event and choose **Connect Arrow** 
to connect the Start event to Create Task. Similarly, you can connect Create Task to End Task.
